Bernardo Castro is an award-winning composer and music producer for visual media. His work can be heard in feature films, TV series and commercials. 

Drawn to music from a very early age, he started playing the drums when he was 12 and recorded his first album at age 15, with a local rock band. It was around this time when he decided to start taking piano lessons.

In university he pursued a classical music degree and during his final year was granted a scholarship to study abroad at the University of Leeds, UK, where he focused on music production.

Upon his return to Mexico, he started working at a prestigious recording studio as an audio engineer for clients like Disney Latin America and for video games such as Gears of War 3.

In 2015 he graduated with honors from the Master's in Scoring for Film, TV and Video Games from the Berklee College of Music, Valencia Campus. After graduation he was hired as an in-house composer and music producer at a renowned music production company in Barcelona, Spain, where he worked for 4 years.

These days besides his work as a freelance composer for Film and TV, he oversees productions at Tomgirl Music + Sound, based in Los Angeles. He is also a faculty member of LABASAD (Barcelona School of Art and Design), where he gives online music and sound design lessons.
